WALKING.
The Sheeps head way comprises of a 55 mile
walk over the mountains
and along the coast with superb views over Banty
bay and Dunmanus bay.
The walk was the winner of
The Waterford Crystal Walker
Award as well as the best walk as nominated by
Country walking Magazine
Shorter Loop walks are also
featured, visiting ring
forts tombs and monuments.
For the less
Energetic there is a
magnificent ring drive
around the peninsula.
Cycling
There is also an extensive cycle route from Gougane
Barra thro to Ballydehob incorperating the Sheeps Head
Peninsula
